About Competition Builds

Long before Competition Builds, we were just two brothers growing up a few years apart, playing sports, competing, and learning the value of hard work early. That same mindset carried into carpentry, where we both got our start working with our hands and learning how important it is to do things the right way.

After the housing crash, I went in a different direction while Dave stayed with carpentry and kept building his experience in the trade. Today, Competition Builds brings that shared background back together, combining family roots, real-world experience, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship

Meet Dave, our Project Manager and Lead Builder. With years of deck-building experience across the Eastside, Dave’s craftsmanship spans from cedar to composite to Ipe. He’s the guy who ensures every deck is as solid as it is beautiful.
